this shot of the street is in a really popular commercial here. i kind of got giddy when i saw it.

the best used book store in the world..hands down. i got an amazing, illustrated copy of mark twain's 'the innocents abroad' for 6 pounds.

i went to this show at the 'lighthouse', an architecture and design gallery (in a mackintosh building!!). they had this show of young designers, like, 6-16 years old. here are my favorites. on didn't come out of this chair that could be switched from standing to rocking. some of these designs were so brilliant its scary.

a car that is powered by solar energy when it is nice out, and water pwer when it is raining (the water pushes the car forward like a jet)

a chair/sofa that rocks back and forth

some kind of weird necklace thing that indicates your mood. the white one is when your happy, the red one is when you are in love, and the black on is for funerals.

another shot of the Grand Place. I made myself go to a touristy lace shop and buy something, just to get my nerve up in europe. it was a really cool shop.

inside the comic strip museum, a Victor Horta art nouveau building. it was the only place i had time to visit in brussels, but it killed two birds with one stone by being a horta building and an awesome museum.
